Here in southern California, we are very fortunate in a lot of aspects. It really can be 70-75 degrees on the beach, while gazing at snow-capped mountains 30-40 miles away. 

Some taken from a whale watching boat out of Long Beach...a couple taken from Mt. Rubidoux, Riverside and from Newport pier, Balboa Fun Zone, or a Davey's Locker or Newport Landing whale watching boat out of Newport Beach.
