I learned all 50 capitals as a young kid on my own, so visiting these 33 beautiful buildings was just a natural extension of boyhood interests. I have certainly driven to and through 45 states, but not always have the opportunity to visit all of those capitols. I have driven "all over Texas", I-10, 1-20, I-30 and I-40 from one end to the other many times through the state...but have never been to Austin, which is "off the beaten path."
